General Builders Supply, or GBS, as it is most commonly known, is a hardware store that carries plumbing supplies, gardening supplies, housewares, electrical supplies, and of course hardware.
General Builders Supply was started in the early 1950’s by Pat Melikian. Originally at 1920 Howard Rd, the business outgrew it’s original building and moved in 1986 to it’s current location at 1808 Howard Rd. In 1977 the Melikian family sold the business to a partnership who currently owns the business. The active owner, Dennis Smith, and the staff today, work hard every day to provide high quality customer service.
